Hi,
I moved to Montana in Oct.2006, My husband and our 3 children. What we thought to be a new start. I started work at a hospital here In MT. I was so happy to have got this job.
I fell ill in Nov. Was hospitalized just before thanks giving.I had ever test done, all of them kept coming back that all was well.I knew that all wasn't well, when I couldn't get out of bed.So more test had to be done. finally a test showed that I had a bad gallbladder. I went in for surgery in Jan.I was suppose to be back to work in about 10 days. I went to the hospital Er,at 3am 24hrs after surgery..I had to call my dad to take me.We went into the hospital, the doctor came in said lets do a CT. this doctor went off shift and another took over.She did x-rays and found that oh you have gas from the surgery.At this point it was hard for me to get up and walk the pain was so intense.Mean while I was prep,for the CT.While in my room very un-comfortable and moaning out in pain, the worst pain ever.In walks the surgeon who did my surgery.He said it was gas as well and said she don't need a CT, she has no insurance and she don't need to pay this out pocket. So they canceled the CT.I went home.I layed on my couch in total pain.Not being able to help with the children.My husband was left to do it all.My husband who has 3rupterd dics in his back.Had to do the whole role of mom & Dad.I kept having all this pain and feeling like I was near death.Saying this isn't gas. 2 weeks post op went to see the surgeon and he set up a ultra sound for that following friday. 3 days to go.He wanted labs I said I'm in so much pain I don't think I can walk over across the street to have this lab done. So the nurse wheeled chaired me over there.I had labs done,and went home.I had not slept in so many nights that I was totally out of it.Pain was really bad. I called the nurse the next day and said look I can't take this anymore, something is not right. So she talked to the surgeon and they want me to go to the hospital have the ultra-sound not to wait till friday. I went and had the ultra sound and was admitted to the hospital.later I was told that I was going to Missoula hospital, and 1hr and half away to have stints put in.I had a leak in my bile duct. I later found out this was bile.in the middle of the night I ran a 103.temp.No surgeon came in till the am.when I was taken to surgery to remove the liter of bile.then was sent to Missoula where the surgeons there were in disbelief that I had all that bile and this surgeon did such a horriable job taken care of me.They tried for 3hrs to put the stints in the bile duct.no luck, I had to wait for 3 days later.And then it was a success the stints were in place.But being so sick,I stayed in the hospital for 10days.Not being able to see my family because I was to far away.only able to talk on the phone.Since then I have had 9 procedures done. I even had over 100 adheasions removed off my liver and there is still more on it.But I have to live with it.My body on the inside is not the same.I go days with out being able to eat,feel sick,lots of pain.I hired an attorney after I was told in missoula by the head nurse that this surgeon has messed up on alot of people.my attorneys are working hard,But as we all know this takes time.My husband has been forced to work even with his back so messed up.he did have a job, but do to the fires in our area left him layed off from work. So with all this, our truck got taken away,It sure has put a hardship on us.No money to get our truck back, or pay for things the kids or us need.Bills are outta site.My husband can't get his heart medication due to no funds.doctors turning us down because no money for a visit.We owe our landlords 5,000.in back rent.Here you have 2 adults and 3 children.We are good honest people, who don"t drink,stay home and do family things with our children.My husband has found a job 5hrs away the pay is good.But we have no truck, no money for gas,All my husband wants to do is support us,and give us a good life.he is a hard working man.We don't know where to turn or what to do.Can anyone out there help us??
